The Twelve day of Blogmas
On the twelveth day of Blogmas were talking about our Christmas plans. To me there’s 3 main days around christmas that i feel have to be planned. Christmas eve, Christmas day and Boxing day.
This year i have no idea what to do on Christmas eve, usually we spend it with my family as boxing day is Conors but my family is going to Essex so I’m guessing we will also spend it alone.
This year will be very different to last year. We’ve got Primrose for her first ever christmas. We decided before she was even born that this christmas will be ours alone together, as a little family. In the evening we plan to visit our parents but this may change depending on how long and tiring Christmas Day is.
I’ve planned to cook Christmas dinner for the first time ever. I’m only going to do the basics as i cant push myself too much as no doubt primrose will need feeding but I’ve planned to do;
- Yorkshire pudding
- Pigs in blankets
- Veg: Carrots, brussel sprouts (I love them), peas, broccoli, sweetcorn,
- Mince pies
- Custard (normal & dairy free)
- Christmas pudding
- Gingerbread house
No doubt we will pick up loads more than we actually need and we will be eating turkey for weeks!
We will wake up and open presents, have breakfast, watch some christmas films, have Christmas dinner then we might go for a walk, if not it’ll definitely be more christmas films or some TV (although we don’t bother with the queens speech).
Boxing day will be the same as it is every year, we travel up to Wisbech to see Conor’s family for a big get together.
We have another christmas dinner with all the trimmings (as long as they’re dairy free), open presents and just spend quality time with family.
How do you plan on spending your Christmas?
